Guatemala gets its first Japanese auto plant

This will be one of many Countries seeking to invest in the Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras. A Japanese company built an auto parts plant in Guatemala as part of an appeal initiated by the US Government to boost the local economy in the Central American region.


It will be one of many future investments made by foreign countries abroad in Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala.


The new facility will provide approximately 1,000 jobs in the San Marcos area of Guatemala. Yazaki North America, Inc. makes automotive wiring harnesses. (Japan Today).
