POSITIVE NEWS

Imagine being told by the doctors that your baby died at birth. So naturally, you mourn, you suffer, eventually you cope and accept the sad news.  Well, for this strong mother in Chile, that is what happened to her.  But, many years later, she was told her son was alive and well living in Virginia USA for 42 years.  Recently, the mother and son have finally been reunited for the first time over the weekend.

Jimmy Lippert Thyden, was taken from his mother at birth in Chile and was given to an unsuspecting couple in USA, while hospital officials told her he was dead. Unfortunately, she and her baby were victims of human trafficking. It is suspected that 20,000 babies were kidnapped from poor mothers in Chile throughout the 60's and 90's.  Thyden, was able to be reunited with his mother with the help of a Non profit group called Nos Buscamos; there victims use DNA testing to unite them to their birth parents.
